Role overview

COVID-19 negatively impacted micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), in order to support MSMEs we intend to conduct need assessment of 45 MSMEs, Agri-business services providers (ABSPs) community support organization (CSOs/CBOs) in Quetta, Pishin and Noshki (15 in each) districts of Balochistan. This  need assessment will be with respect to their response capabilities such as capability to maintain liquidity, transport & logistics, ability to procure essentials inputs or raw material and capability to recover from business shocks of COVID-19. The consultant will be responsible;

• To draft comprehensive reports on the need assessment for Quetta, Pishin and Noshki.
• Provide support to MSMEs, CSO, and CBOs in understanding their needs and develop funding request/proposal.
• Based on the need assessment of MSMEs/CBOs/CSOs of Quetta, Pishin and Noshki district arrange three training workshops (1 each district).

The services of a qualified consultant is required to conduct the need assessment and develop reports based on the need assessment. The consultant will be responsible for data collection, analysis, reporting and presenting the findings and recommendations. The consultant will also organize three training workshops in the selected district. He/she will support in the development of proposal.

Deliverables:

• Detailed work plan, data collection tools for approval by Program Team before data collection commences.
• Developed three need assessment reports for Quetta, Pishin, and Noshki (each report will contain 15 MSMEs, ABSPs, CSOs, CBOs)
• Developed three training workshop reports
• Developed fifteen funding requests/proposals (five each Quetta, Pishin, Noshki)

Qualification:

• Master’s degree in Business, Commerce, Social Sciences, Economics, Agriculture, Livestock or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in SMEs need assessment, research, business plan development.
• Strong background and experience in proposal writing, data collection and analysis.
