Senior Finance Officer

Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for a seasoned and dynamic Senior Finance Officer. This position is based at Central Office, Karachi.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payments:

• Manage the vendor payment process, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of funds.
• Verify vendor invoices and ensure compliance with procurement and financial policies.
• Maintain accurate records of vendor transactions and resolve payment discrepancies promptly.

1.  Budget Preparation and Monitoring:

• Collaborate with program teams to develop project budgets for proposals and modifications.
• Ensure budgets align with donor requirements and organizational policies.
• Monitor budget utilization and provide recommendations for adjustments.

1.  Donor Reporting:

• Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for donors, ensuring compliance with donor guidelines.
• Maintain detailed records of donor-funded projects, including expenditures and balances.
• Coordinate donor audits and ensure all financial documentation is complete and accurate.

1. Financial Analysis and Forecasting:

• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and risks.
• Prepare forecasts to support strategic planning and resource allocation.

1.  Compliance and Policy Adherence:

• Ensure adherence to donor regulations, organizational policies, and accounting standards.
• Promote a culture of accountability and transparency in financial management.

1. Team Collaboration and Support:

• Provide guidance and training to finance staff on donor budgeting and reporting.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of financial processes.

Education, Experience & Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in finance department.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Technical ability and willingness to learn new systems as required for the role.
• Ability to getting things done and end to end processing with sense of ownership and attention to detail.
