Specific Responsibilities:
- Leading the planning, monitoring and management of program activities under Component I (i.e. Organizational Management & Effectiveness) of the Capacity Enhancement Project.
- Supervise and lead the team members in achieving results of the project.
- Ensure strong documentation and timely reporting of program. Review training reports, lessons learnt documentation and other program related documentation when required.
- Supervise team members in managing program data in both soft and hard copies in a timely manner.
- Building strong and long-term relationship through networking and promotion of project activities with relevant stakeholders (CSOs, Universities, PDMA, etc.).
- Increase visibility of the program activities at local, national & regional level.
- Mobilization and selection of target participants for training.
- Managing Trainers and Resource Persons (internal/external).
- Ensuring the quality outputs/results of the project as per implementation timeline.
- Planning and management of training follow-up/refreshers through Trainers.
- Close coordination and follow up with project participants & stakeholders; other projects and departments within the organization.
- Ensuring quality of training pre-during-post tasks (needs assessment, invitation package, reports etc.).
- Ensuring effective budget utilization of responsible activities.
- Following M&E system and procedure.
- Consider the costs of planned program vs. available budgets to ensure value for money.
- Develop and conduct Technical Assistance and follow-up activities with selected participants.
Job Requirements:
Qualification/Experience:
- For the position of Senior Program Officer (SPO) - Organizational Management and Effectiveness, University level degree preferably Masters in social work/development studies or in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in humanitarian sector, at least half of which should have been related to capacity building program, including experience of managing or conducting training under capacity building projects & partnerships with academia.
Skill/Competencies:
- Knowledge of management theories and concepts.
- Experienced in Organizational Development (OD) processes, approaches and change management.
- Engaging academia for curriculum/guidelines development to bridge gap between theory & practice.
- Understanding and Skills around HR, Financial Management & reporting.
- Experience in partnership management.
- Computer Skills (use of Microsoft Office specifically Excel for budgeting/planning & PowerPoint for presentations).
- Excellent Writing skills (English), pro-active in communication & information sharing.
- Understanding about capacity building approaches and experience in fund raising for Capacity Building Programs.
- Ability to travel on short-notice. The frequency of travel is high for this position.

- Supervise and lead the team members in achieving results of the project.
- Design/plan advocacy and lobbying related activities for local & national level organizations.
- Ensure strong documentation and timely reporting of program including lessons learning.
- Supervise team members in managing program data in both soft and hard copies in a timely manner.
- Building strong and long-term relationship through networking and promotion of project activities with relevant stakeholders (CSOs, Universities, Local & Global humanitarian network bodies etc.).
- Increase visibility of the program activities at local, national & regional level.
- Mobilization and selection of participating organizations for training.
- Managing Trainers and Resource Persons (internal/external) – recruitment, ToRs etc.)
- Ensuring the quality outputs/results of the project as per implementation timeline.
- Ensuring quality of training pre-during-post tasks and timely completion including (invitation package)
- Close coordination and follow up with project participants & stakeholders; other projects and departments within the organization.
- Planning and management of training follow-up/refreshers through Trainers.
- Ensuring effective budget utilization of responsible activities.
- Following M&E system and procedure.
- Regularly contribute to the Monthly News Bulletins – These are submitted on the 5th of each month
- Develop articles and content for selected International Days.
- Collect and develop visibility content (write-ups, photos, video clips, quotes) covering trainings, events and visits related to CEP, SHA and Education projects as per CO requirement (Plan with CO team in advance for this).
- Collect and submit data required for organizational documents including annual report and organizational brochure, website for CEP, SHA as per AR forms/templates.
- Participate in annual and bi-annual CO face-to-face meetings.
- Complete Project Communication Plans for respective projects.
- Assist with Documentary and Publication development for respective projects – particularly in terms of gathering data.
- Explain CO protocols to new members of respective teams.
Job Requirements:

- A minimum of 05 years work experience in humanitarian sector, at least half of which should have been related to education and advocacy.
Skill/Competencies:
- Knowledge of management theories and concepts.
- Experienced in managing capacity building interventions for organizations on Social Mobilization, Advocacy, Theatre Skills, Resilience and Disaster Risk Reduction.
- Ability to link and engage national organizations to global/regional debates.
- Experience in partnership management.
- Computer Skills (use of Microsoft Office specifically Excel for budgeting/planning & Power point for presentations).
- Excellent Writing skills (English), pro-active in communication & information sharing.
- Understanding about capacity building approaches and experience in fund raising for Capacity Building Programs.
- Facilitation skills as facilitator in the field of education at primary and secondary level.
- Ability to develop training material like training session plans and modules.
- Ability to travel on short-notice. The frequency of travel is high for this position
