Background and Objectives: 

USAID/Pakistan awarded the Louis Berger Group (LBG) with a three (3) year Punjab Youth Workforce Development Project (PYWD) to work with at-risk youth in Multan, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh and Bahawalpur to secure gainful employment and play a positive role in their communities. The Program will facilitate employment opportunities for 10,000 youth (of which 35% will be women) through implementation of following activities: a) proactive community engagements to mobilize at-risk youth; b) institutional capacity building and re-tooling of over 22 public/private vocational training providers; c) co-opting of prospective potential private sector employers for trainee placement; d) career counseling services; as well as e) providing access to finance for youth entrepreneurs.

Summary:

Community Engagement/Program Assistant’s primary responsibility will be the data entry, updating, verification and/or retrieving data through PYWD project’s management information system; and ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of information recorded. In addition, s/he will be responsible for supporting community engagement team in community mobilization activities in the field. We require Community Engagement/Program Assistant's (2 positions, each for Multan and Bahawalpur Districts). 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  1. Collecting information from departments to update MIS.
  2. Analyze information provided by Mobilizers (error tracking and correction of data).
  3. Following the standards to operate and update MIS.
  4. Data entry into MIS, scanning and uploading documents on relevant web forms.
  5. Generating reports as per requirement by different departments through MIS for following purposes:
    • Analysis and future planning.
    • Assessments and evaluation.
    • Issuance of stipends
  1. Conduct field visits for identification and mobilization of Community Organizations.
  2. Support Community engagement teams in identification of marginalized youth.
  3. Support in conducting youth awareness sessions at community level.
  4. Support in conducting project orientation meetings with Community Organizations and local level community members
  5. Facilitate project’s REFLECT circles approach in analysis of local situation to target local problems and derive possible solutions to identified problems
  6. Facilitate in establishing synchronization between high schools and TVET sector training institutes
  7. Support team in conducting community engagement events.
  8. Assist with general office administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  1. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree.
  2. At least one year of experience working with a Computer Based Information Systems (CBIS) and community level work.
  3. Prior Data Entry Experience is required
