1.         AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Implementation of organization’s thematic programme through effective monitoring, coordination and follow-up.
  • Review and assess programme/projects proposals to ensure coherence with Organization’s and global humanitarian / development standards.
  • Provide technical inputs to different stages of program/project cycle of the overall thematic programme: start-up work plans, detailed project implementation plans, baseline/needs assessment reports, annual work plans, progress reports, midterm review/evaluations.
  • Facilitate compliance to planned programme interventions with organization’s country and global strategy.
  • Identify capacity gaps through partner’s capacity assessment and plan capacity development plan in coordination with Programme Coordinator
  • Quality control of programme interventions through regular monitoring visits/reflective sessions and recommend steps for improvement including follow-ups.
  • Strengthen coordination/synergies among partners through bridging effective communication between partners and organizational management.
  • Accountability assurance at partners’ and organizational level through integration of Core Humanitarian Standards in programme design, implementation and evaluations.

 

2.         MAIN TASKS

  • Responsible for timely preparation of draft project proposals, budgets, reports in coordination with partners and programme coordinator.
  • Collect data and review project proposals, periodic narrative, monitoring and financial reports of partners for donors/HO.
  • Assist in initiating partners contracts, establishing new Project IDs (PIDs), allocations of funds and overseeing financial utilization against planned project activities
  • Update project/programme documentation on global project handling system

 

3.Qualifications & Experience Required
(Project-, team-, workgroup-leadership/coordination, facilitation, monitoring, relation building etc.)

  • Bachelors’ degree preferably in Gender studies or social sciences
  • Minimum 05 five years’ experience of   in  GBV, human rights or other related fields
  • Solid GBV experience and training in related areas.
  • Good understanding of local conflict context, culture, vulnerable groups, and underlying socio-politico-economic situation
  • Experience of developing program strategy, project proposal, and reports
  • Good knowledge of different community structures
  • Expertise in documentation of statistics print electronic and social media
  • Knowledge and experience of advocacy campaign on social issues.
  • Experience of developing gender considerations into M&E processes
  • Physical ability to conduct regular field visits, reporting and project follow up work
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision to define priorities
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of Urdu and other local languages would be an advantage
  • Willing to work in a team in the Department
  • Comply with organizational Security routines, regulations and SOPs.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor or management.
  • Changes in this job description will take place after discussions between employer and employee, and as a part of the annual performance review follow-up.

4.   Duration of Job:

  • 1 year with possible renewable extension

5.   Feild Travel:

  • Islamabad based job with upto 40% travel to the field
