Professional EDUCATION and SKILL

MA in Social Science, Public Health, Gender Studies or Health

At least 5 years of training experience

Experience working in communities and with health system

Job characteristics:

  • Experience, knowledge and skills in disability mainstreaming field
  • Experience and knowledge in the field of Inclusive Health & Disability mainstreaming
  • Experience and knowledge in Gender
  • Experience required 3 to 5 year
  • Master degree in social science or relevant
  • Willingness to learn and ability to work efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of people
  • Being able to share knowledge and strong training skills and experience
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team; coordinate and support other team members and partners
  • Good networking skills, conflict management skills and communication skills.
  • Computer skills
  • Language skills; English, Urdu, Pashtu

General Mission:

Ensuring that project team including all partner colleagues are adopting an inclusive approach and mainstream disability inclusion in all their activities and interventions 

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

  1. Enable all health professionals   who are working in the context of Organizations project to follow inclusive approaches.
  2. Enable all volunteers and community workers to understand and practice the concept of inclusion
  3. Enable stakeholders, communities, persons with disabilities and other stakeholders to know about disability rights and where and how to access health services

-          Ensure good communication with all project stakeholders (partner, Health Departments, NGO’s, and DPOs etc.)

-          Represent ORGANIZATION in different forums and working group and in all partner cooperation meetings (as per need and requirement)

-          Link service providers with persons with disabilities

-          On needs basis, support the partner with the development and implementation of activities related to inclusion and disability mainstreaming

Capacity Building and training                                                                          

 

 

-          Support and strengthen partner organizations in the field of inclusion and disability inclusion

-          Development of capacity building plans with the consultation of ORGANIZATION and partners management

-          Training material preparation and sharing with management for validation

-          Coordination with field team and, potential training participants

-          Conduct capacity building workshops with partner staff / project team

-          Conduct capacity building workshops with government health staff

-          Conduct capacity building session with communities

-          Conduct capacity building workshops with health department

-          Coordinating with ORGANIZATION logistic, technical and M&E unit and preparation of all required documentation

-          Close coordination with ORGANIZATION technical advisors and management

-          Incorporate ORGANIZATION core crosscutting themes such as gender, equality, climate change and DRR components into the work

-          Provide on job technical support to health staff

Data collection , Quality Management and  M&E

 

 

-          Ensure disaggregated data and the proper use of WGQ on all project levels

-          Keep record of all activities (meeting minutes and attendance sheets, training reports etc.

-           Support the M&E officer with ensuring that he/she is monitoring Organization achievement regarding to inclusion; Organizations includes the development of monitoring tools

-          If needed support the M&E officer with monitoring inclusion through field visits

-          Produce case studies

-          Pre and post assessment data collection and reporting

-          Periodic reporting

 

 

 

General  tasks

 

 

-          Know and follow organization policies on PSAE, Organization protection, etc organizational data management and protection from harassment policies

-          Provide monthly planning and activity / Organization achievement reports to the line manager

-           Prepare TORs (if required) meetings and provide minutes

-          Contribute to quarterly review meetings

-          Ensure close cooperation with TU and support technical and M&E visits in the field

-          Share training agenda and reports with line manager and TU
