Position Objectives:

Health Promoter will work on to enable and encourage people to adopt good practices regarding hygiene’s and to increase control over their state of health.

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities

 Contributes towards the overall goal and objectives of PRC.

Works in line with the Red Cross and Red Crescent Principles.

Adheres to the Security rules and procedures.

Respects and observes the Staff Rules & Regulations of PRC.

The employee may be asked to perform duties and tasks assigned by the management as well as to provide support to other departments if so required.

Facilitate PSS component of the program during the implementation in communities and BHUs

07

Assist in designing and planning of the psychosocial support (PS) activities in collaboration with Project team

08

Supervise the work of all staff and volunteers to improve the impact of the program.

09

Support in the training of Community Health Workers (CHWs) on Psychological First Aid (PFA) for appropriate identification and referrals to follow up.

Prepare and implement a Training of Trainers (ToT) program on PFA and other relevant topics and support trainers to roll out trainings.

Support the development of referral pathways internal to organization and with external service providers to strengthen links to available services for psychosocial support and Protection more generally, including regularly updating service directories/mappings.

Engage community leaders, community-based organizations, and other service providers in supporting beneficiaries to access psychosocial support services.

Lead the development of appropriate IEC materials on psychosocial support, as well as Protection in general, to build awareness of services and promote key messages.

 Guidance and mentoring of the staff to insure PSS aspects of the project

Facilitate meetings and other workshops for staff, volunteers, teachers, health staff or community committees to mainstream PSS aspects of the project.

Participate and assist with the facilitation of psychosocial support activities of the project

Education

Masters/ 16 years education in Social Sciences or in relevant field from HEC recognized Institute / University.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of working experience in development/rehabilitation project in a post conflict situation with at least 2 years PSS specific position  

Skills/Knowledge

  • Fluency in spoken and written in Urdu & English. Pashto speaking will be preferred
  • Work towards the achievement of PRCS Vision and long-term objectives
  • Good command on Microsoft Office (word, excel & power point)
