Position Objectives:

The WASH Engineer will report to the Head of WASH/Health. The WASH Engineer will provide professional operational and assistance technical skills in researching, collecting, analyzing and presenting program information and to support the development, implementation and monitoring of the WASH output results.

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities

Contributes towards the overall goal and objectives of PRC.

Works in line with the Red Cross and Red Crescent Principles.

Adheres to the Security rules and procedures.

Respects and observes the Staff Rules & Regulations of PRC.

The employee may be asked to perform duties and tasks assigned by the management as well as to provide support to other departments if so required.

Develop and maintain relationships and work closely with local WASH actors, including national and local government, private sector, community, NGOs, other donors, etc.

Prepare Bill of quantities, Drawings & other technical drawings.

08

Write briefs, reviews, and data analysis on WASH, as needed.

Conduct day to day monitoring & provide technical inputs to workers related to all wash projects.

     To develop internal organizational WASH-related training and development of tools, guidelines, standards to improve program quality.

Education

  1. BSC in Civil Engineering with 2 years’ experience or DAE/B-Tech civil.

Experience

 

  1. Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in WASH projects / initiatives.
  2. Experience in a WASH initiative in a combination of health and livelihoods projects would be an advantage
  3. Experience with relevant stakeholders, implementing partners, and other donor’s agency.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Fluency in spoken and written in Urdu & English. Pashto speaking will be preferred 
  • Work towards the achievement of PRCS Vision and long-term objectives
  • Good command on Microsoft Office (word, excel & power point)
