JOB PURPOSE:

Hospitality trainers are responsible for Developing Training tools and operations manuals and delivering training programs on hospitality operations and customer service. He / She also conduct training classes demonstrating proper work techniques and practical skills in work settings.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

  1. Develop, validate and plan training material on hospitality management including, but not limited to training manual, sessions plan, training evaluation tool, pre & post-test tool, training handouts and Training presentation.
  2. Manage overall training sessions of hospitality management in the most productive and innovative manners to reach out desirable training objectives
  3. Prepare and share the details of required training resource materials at least a week prior to the training
  4. Conduct sessions on hotel management and housekeeping services
  5.  Conduct interpersonal communication skills, life skills and soft skills sessions
  6. Facilitate trainees during hands-on training in hotels
  7. Conduct pre and post assessments
  8. Conduct training sessions as per approved schedules
  9. Apply variety of training delivery techniques and strategies to train the trainees with respect to the required competencies
  10. Manage trainees’ performance evaluation (formative & summative) and submit reports both hard & soft copies within one week of evaluation.
  11. Update trainee’s data as per the requirements of MIS.
  12. Develop training reports with support of Training Officer to cover each & every part of trainings.
  13. Demonstrate excellence in pedagogy, strong communication and interpersonal skills   

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.  

Qualification, experience & Skills

  • Minimum 14 years of formal education,
  • At least 4 years of proven experience of delivering training on hospitality Management.
  • Must have strong presentation skills and understand adult learning techniques to deliver effective training programs.
  • Familiarity with eco-tourism, adventure tour guides and camping village projects
  • Experience of working with NGOs/Training Institutions and Hotels and tourism industry
  • Should have strong writing and editing skills.
  • Excellent Computer Skills (MS Office) is mandatory
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills are must
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills are important, however, understanding about local dialects is also important
  • Sound judgment, flexibility, adaptability and cultural & gender sensitivity are the core values
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and strategies.
  • Self-motivated and having good sense of humor to motivate adults for learning and grooming.
  • ability to inspire, motivate and demonstrate excellent customer skills and the value of the customer are all valuable qualities
