1.       PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Water and Sanitation Hackathon is aimed to improve the water and sanitation management in KPK by WSSP in predefined areas. This is to be achieved by engaging multiple stakeholders and experts in the field of sanitation and development alongside a volunteer technology community in order to conceptualize and build mobile software technology applications to address pressing sanitation challenges through a marathon weekend of hacking around water and sanitation management problems in the KPK region.

The primary objective of this hackathon is to address major sanitation problems by supporting the development of mobile applications for deployment at the WSSP. An important secondary objective is to foster a community of volunteer civic technologists, business and technology development experts, and sanitation specialists engaging in a constructive dialogue to develop mobile solutions to sanitation challenges.

2.     ELIGIBILITY

• TiE Islamabad seeks to engage the services of an IT Firm/Individual Consultant with at least 5 years of relevant experience of developing and implementing IT solutions (preferably at government scale)
• Expertise in providing technical implementation, testing and integration support to the IT solutions, applications, software, games etc.
• Sound understanding of IT solutions to address social problems

3.     STATEMENT OF WORK

• This is a Peshawar-based activity, the aim of which is to extend technical support to WSSP and the 6 winning teams of Hackathon in refining the apps/solutions and operationalizing them by integrating them into the WSSP operations/system.
• The IT Consultant will work with the teams to develop their project life cycle within the timeframe of the WSSP hackathon project.
• The IT consultant will provide both one-on-one facilitation and consulting and group consulting as and when required in combination with remote assistance to the teams in order to ensure the timely and qualitative delivery of solutions to WSSP.
• The IT Consultant will monitor and track the progress of the teams and will address critical problems and challenges that will arise during the implementation process.

4.     MODE OF SUBMISSION OF EOI

The consultants & Companies/Firms, having valid national number can apply and submit EoI accordingly.

5.     MODE OF EXECUTION

The successful bidder will be required to execute the assignment in the following manner:

1. Sign the standard contract with The Indus entrepreneurs (TiE Islamabad).
2. Implementation of the assignment as per agreed framework in coordination with TiE Islamabad
