CHILD SAFEGUARDING:

Level 3:  the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

ROLE PURPOSE:  

The Programmes intern will be responsible for coordinating activities within the prgrammes team, linking up project leads, advocacy, research, innovation and MEAL. Based on guidance from the Advisor Programmes, the position will also support on developing proposals from project outlies that have already been developed. This will include donor focused draft narratives, budgets, logframes and workplans. Additionally the intern will work closely with the communications team to consolidate and review annual country reports, strategic plans, CSP milestones and annual reach.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Support in Planning, Implementation and Reporting:

  • Preparing presentations & doing groundwork for staff meetings and donor visits.
  • Writing/editing/proof reading reports/proposals upon request.
  • Incorporating feedback in reports/proposals.
  • Coordination and communication with other programs and departments within organization whenever required.
  • Correspondence with partners/donors/staff on behalf of the Advisor Programs

Communication, Networking and visibility:

  • Develop communications promotional materials when requested.
  • Support in gathering informational material upon request.
  • Support Advisor Programs in exploring funding opportunities and developing proposals when requested.
  • Assist in ensuring visibility of SCI Pakistan portfolio initiatives at regional level.
  • Assist Advisor Programs in ground work for external reviews/evaluations of projects.
  • Do project reviews and monitoring if requested.

Coordination and communication with consultant’s/resource persons.

 QUALIFICATIONS 

  • a fresh Graduate of recognized national or International university

  • Ability to take initiatives, ability to prioritize and remain organized.
