Telesales Representative - MicroEnsure Pakistan

Location: Islamabad or Rawalpindi

MicroEnsure is a pioneer globally in the provision of insurance to the low and middle income market. The first insurtech to start operations in Pakistan in 2013 our first partners were Telenor and Easypaisa resulting in millions of clients being served in the first year.

Over the last five years the Company has grown rapidly partnering with leading telecom operators such as JazzCash, Ufone and Telenor as well as microfinance players such as Khushhali Microfinance Bank, Kashf Foundation and U Microfinance Bank. Most recently we launched with ride hailing companies such as Careem. MicroEnsure is at the forefront of working out how to reach millions of ordinary Pakistanis with a critical safety net, if you join us you will help shape the lives of many as well as have the opportunity to shape the future of digital insurance in Pakistan.

We are seeking dynamic youngsters for our operation who can deliver exceptional results by providing insurance products to middle and low income Pakistanis through our sales channels.

Telesales Representative Responsibilities:

The Telesales Representative is responsible for the following:

1)       Present in office on all working days during designated timings

2)       Attend training sessions and acquire knowledge about the company and the products and make every effort to improve your skills every day

3)       Make required minimum number of calls and explain products to the customers sticking to the script and training provided to you

4)       Listen to customers questions and objections and respond to those in a highly professional and courteous manner

5)       Make entries of customer data in company computer systems as per the training provided

6)       Stick to the approved script and the company values while dealing with customers

7)       Be respectful to customers, colleagues and seniors

8)       Identify and escalate issues to supervisors

9)       Document all customer engagement information according to standard operating procedures

10)    Recognize, document, and alert the management team of trends found or observed in in customer engagement

11)    Follow up with customers where necessary

12)    Other duties as assigned by the management from time to time

13)    Able to speak and understand Urdu; knowledge of regional languages such as Punjabi, Pashto, Hindko and Saraiki will be a plus

Minimum requirements:

a)       Minimum academic qualification intermediate or higher secondary school certificate

b)       No age limit but candidates aged between 22 to 28 will be preferred; we do not hire those who are not at least 18 years of age

c)       Experience of working in a customer servicing role preferably handling customers over phone calls will be a plus

d)       Ability to work on a computer on basic applications such MS Office Suite

e)       Knowledge of customer servicing practice and basic principles

f)        Superior listening, verbal and written communication skills

g)       Ability to convince others

h)       Ability to handle stressful situations appropriately

i)        Attitude of building career through hard work

j)        Both males and females are encouraged as we strive to maintain a 50-50 gender ratio

k)       Able to operate from MicroEnsure offices in Islamabad (G-8/4) or Rawalpindi (Civic Centre Bahria Town)
