CARE is a leading global humanitarian and development organization. Since its establishment in 2005, CARE International in Pakistan (CIP) has been responding to major disasters and undertaking an array of development projects. CIP works through its local partners and a range of stakeholders for development, as well as emergency response related interventions, which makes collaboration a key component of its work, across the country. Health and education, with particular focus on economic empowerment, are CARE’s core identified program areas in Pakistan. CARE aims to reach out to most underserved vulnerable communities in hardest to reach areas to support them break the poverty cycle. One such community is of cotton farmers, particularly women, in Sindh and Punjab who have seasonal work that is paid in cash and/or in kind but is insufficient to help them make ends meet.

CARE International in Pakistan soliciting consultant for ‘Better Cotton Initiative’ (BCI) and its local partner organisations that will increase recognition of Pakistani female cotton farmers that supply sustainable cotton for global companies through the BCI. BCI is the world’s largest cotton sustainability programme. The BCI programme will work with female farmers in Sindh and Punjab working through local BCI partner organisations.
