Project Officer - Capacity
Building

Objective:

The incumbent of this job will be responsible to  review the proposals of capacity building / environmental assessments and follow up on agreed actions by regularly conducting field visits and ensure timely completion of project activities.

• Coordinate with Partner Oraginzations for building capacity related to disaster management and preparation of village disaster management plans (VDMPs).
• Facilitate Partner Oraginzations for timely completion of training events on O&M of disaster mitigation structures
• Conduct field visit to verify Village Organiazations and VDMPs information provided in monthly and quarterly progress reports (QPRs) submitted by the respective partner organizations
• Provide technical assistance to the POs staff in raising community awareness on community-based disaster risk management

Qualification / Experience 

• At least 16 years of education or equivalent; Masters in Social Sciences and related diciplines/ Project Management/ Masters in Business Adminsitration/ Masters in Public Administration from a HEC recognized institution.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in community capacity building or related field from a national or international development sector organization.
• Team Working Skills to work in a team oriented working environment.
• Operational understanding along with good problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Budgeting for the tasks assigned to him/her.
• Good interpersonal skills and relationship management skills.
• Written communication skills and presentation skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Willing to travel in field across Pakistan.
