This position is based in Norwegian Red Cross (NorCross)Pakistan Country Office in Islamabad

Purpose of internship

Internship/assignment purpose is to assist in monitoring, reporting and communication related tasks within the NorCross Country Office as directed by the CPM. Assistance given to CPM includes, but not limited to, following areas: conduct monitoring visits, review and provide feedback to PRCS reports, follow-up with PRCS on programme activities, update relevant documents for the CO,production of quality and timely delivery of all reports.

Internship/Assignment related duties and responsibilities

  • Support in visiting the field areas to monitor the NorCross supported programme on a pre-developed checklist.
  • Support in updating Pakistan CO Project Information Management System (PIMS) pages with all the relevant documents uploaded
  • Assist CPM in developing, reviewing and finalizing proposals and reports
  • In collaboration with PRCS, update the Indicator Tracking Table (ITTs) and provide justifications on variance.
  • Support the Country office in advancing its communication efforts and media engagement (workspace etc.)
  • Supports in writing and editing interest stories, case studies, feature articles, policy briefs, talking pointsto ensure quality and coherence to NorCross’s information standards
  • Support the development and production of program brochures and other thematic information documents
  • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor and or technical manager

Required skills

Qualification: Graduate/16 – years of Education (social sciences, communications, management sciences, etc.)

Required skills: strong verbal and written English abilities; high level of computer literacy (MS Word and Excel); strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in multi-cultural environment; commitment to deliverables; energetic; organized; team player; proactive;

Remuneration     

The intern will be paid a stipend for the duration of the internship.
