PRIMARY PURPOSE:
This position will be responsible to provide IT support to project sub-office in Gilgit/Baltistan.
QUALIFICATION
- At least graduation – preferably in IT related subjects
- Two years relevant working experience with a reputable organization/ institution
- Ability to operate network setup.
- Ability to train staff on the use of computers.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3 years of working experience in relevant capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- To install and configure the Gilgit infrastructure (hardware, software, telecommunications) and information systems.
- To develop and implement, when appropriate IT policies.
- To maintain the security of the IT systems and the network to which they are connected.
- To increase effectiveness and efficiency of the production network by designing and implementing IT related projects.
- To support, maintain and administrate server hardware and software systems.
- Provide input in procurement of hardware and software keeping economies of scale and new trends/technologies in the mind.
- To administrate the security of server systems, messaging, mail server, firewalls and hosted systems against any kind of threats which can destroy the data.
- To transfer of necessary knowledge to the IT personnel to increase the broader understanding of Information Technologies potential.
- Handling all Internet connectivity issues with ISP to provide 24/7 internet access.
- All additional technical or non-technical responsibilities and duties assigned by Senior Management of within IT domains.
