POSITION SUMMARY

The incumbent is expected to work as a AKHSP Assistant Manager Digital health based at Karachi.

Prepare analytical report on daily basis, which includes arrangement of teleconsultation, arrange teleconsultation for patients Identify high risk cases through helpline data, prepare analytical report on helpline line services on daily basis, refer appropriate cases at per SoP, arrange telemedicine clinics, and update all data and Drs schedule in software.  

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

REGULAR DUTIES / RESPONSIBLITIES:

The incumbent will be responsible for oversight and success of all new digital health initiatives of AKHS,P. S/he will oversee the Digital Health Coordinators in Gilgit and Chitral and ensure that digital health programs of AKHS,P run smoothly. Specific responsibilities will include:

 

Oversight of the Elaj Asan Project – A mobile teleconsultation application and the AKHS,P Helpline

  • Ensure that the project is managed for the greatest results – including efficiency of process and smooth function of the app, patient satisfaction, and maximum uptake in our catchment populations. This will include:
    • Supervise helpline & Elaj Asan teleconsultation application service and prepare report on daily basis.
    • Develop targets of digital health initiatives in coordination of operational heads.
    • Achieve targeted volume of calls and scheduled Teleconsultation per day.
    • Define and revise SOPs based on learning from implementation of the project
    • Monitor compliance of call and assessment tools as per defined SoP.
    • Design and implement an effective marketing and awareness strategy to ensure maximum uptake
    • Ensure regular calls and follow up calls to patients having high risk of Co-Morbidities, COVID suspected patients where needed.
    • Design daily and weekly data reports and ensure that these are produced and submitted regularly to management and used to improve operations
    • Design quality metrics and manage these closely, including ensuring that doctors are present on time, consultations are carried out when scheduled, quality of teleconsultation connectivity is maintained, pharmaceuticals ordered are delivered and delivered on time, etc.
    • Organize and promote tele-consultation clinics.
    • Develop and implement a plan for capacity Organize and Provide health awareness session through e-health and online education for staff and community.
  • Oversee telemedicine initiatives of AKHS,P nationally including two coordinators in GB and Chitral. This will include:
    • Coordinating across teams to ensure that telemedicine and eLearning sites across AKHS,P are functional and utilized
    • Identifying barriers to teleconsultations and working with Team Leads and Management to resolve these to improve volumes and uptake of telemedicine clinics

 Identifying additional telemedicine opportunities for AKHS,P in coordination with AKU and other stakeholders – including in new consultation areas, between primary and secondary care facilities of

    • Coordinating and taking responsibility for the roll out of capacity building initiatives via eLearning
    • Monthly reporting of digital health activities which includes telemedicine clinics, e-learning sessions, volume of Elaj Asan etc. to AKDN dHRC and central HMIS for performance review meeting.

The incumbent will:

  • Coordinate closely with multiple teams and management across AKHS,P to make digital initiatives successful
  • Coordinate with government stakeholders for getting buy-in and engage them for sustainability of the related project
  • Monitor indicators of all digital health projects, develop reports, and share on monthly basis
  • Act as master trainer for digital health projects
  • Track all activities and resources of digital health project and inform relevant stakeholder accordingly.
  • Coordinate with field team and other resources to gather requirements of the project.
  • Track, coordinate and resolve issues on daily basis.
  • Ensure that digital health initiatives meet our objectives of sustainability as well as access as well as the overall mission and vision of the organization
  • Work for continuous quality improvement and compliance to AKHS,P policies
  • Perform any other duties or task that are assigned by the supervisors.

Ensure regulatory compliance related to digital health activities.

 

POSITION SPECIFICATION

  • Academic/Professional Qualification:  BSCN/Bachelor in Biostatistics/Health Science/Public Health and Certified Project management Professional

Experience and Training: 5 years of expereince with 2-3 years of supervisory experience on teleconsultation service/ or call center management or  in the related field
