Pakistan Red Crescent Society invites applications for the following positions for qualified and dynamic candidates for appointment on purely contract basis based in Karachi and Badin for a DRR Project.

Position Role:
The position has to oversee construction/rehabilitation of water and sanitation infrastructure as per approved design and specification. Impart training to the community for maintenance of water and sanitation schemes.
Person Specification:
- University degree in Civil Engineering from any reputable/HEC certified University.
- At least 3-4 years’ experience in Water and Sanitation design and implementation, working experience in School WASH infrastructure will be given preference.
- Computer proficient in Microsoft office products, preferably have experience in MS Excel and or any other industry software.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct Infrastructure (Water and Sanitation) damage surveys.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BoQs) of all schemes to be constructed/rehabilitated.
- Liaison with WASH consultant in rehabilitation design and implementation of schemes.
- Verification of the appropriate standard and quantity of materials used in water and sanitation schemes.
- Ensuring construction of projects in accordance with approved designs
- Providing training to community members on proper operation and maintenance of schemes
- Work in close cooperation with all key stakeholders including government authorities, community leaders, beneficiaries, partner organizations, and other providers.
- Prepare monitoring plan along with necessary documents/formats of water and sanitation schemes.
- Monitor and ensure functionality of School WASH facilities, including improved water sources, latrines and hand washing facilities.
- Prepare and submit construction/rehabilitation work as per defined frequency.
