Job Description

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The research assistant will actively work and collaborate within a team in diverse research activities pertaining to the installation, maintenance and operations of Auto Steer System, Smart Irrigation, Green Cabins. Additionally, he/she will be helping the team members in acquiring, integrating and analysis of Geospatial and Sensors data, pertaining to Project GreenAI.
  • He/ She will be required to engage in the tasks related to Project GreenAI and other similar tasks for report writing, crafting proposals for the procurements regarding projects, conducting field visits for data collection, and fulfilling any other duties necessary for the advancement of Project GreenAI.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • BS (4 years) / MS or equivalent in the field of Agricultural Engineering / GIS / Geoinformatics / Mechatronics / Electronics / Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / from HEC recognized university.
  • MS/M.Phil. scholar will be preferred.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience in one or more of the following disciplines (electronics, mechatronics circuitry, sensors, Auto Guidance system, hydroponics, GIS/GPS).  
  • Strong research background with experience in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for data analysis and project development.
  • The candidate preferably be able to effectively communicate, both oral and written formats, in English.
  • He/She is expected to demonstrate a high level of motivation, sound judgment, and strong organizational skills.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant professional experience in Auto Steer System/Hydroponics, GIS/GPS/Precision agriculture techniques will be preferred.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

  • This position is for one-year term with possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance or need basis.

  • The hired candidate will undergo a 2‐3 months training period during which the candidate will be on probation. The final appointment will be confirmed after completion of the training period.
