Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Regional Coordinator for our programs in Karachi. The Regional Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating various initiatives aimed at enhancing the socio-economic well-being of communities in the region.

Job Description:

  • Oversee and coordinate the implementation of various programs/projects in Karachi.
  • Ensure programs/projects are executed efficiently, meeting established timelines and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local government authorities, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with partners to ensure effective coordination and cooperation.
  • Supervise and lead a team of project managers, field officers, and support staff.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the team's success.
  • Develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to track programs/projects progress.
  • Regularly assess programs/projects outcomes and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Work closely with the finance team to monitor project budgets and expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance with financial guidelines and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports on programs/projects activities, outcomes, and challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with the senior management team.
  • Facilitate community engagement initiatives and ensure the active participation of local communities in programs/projects activities.
  • Identify opportunities for community capacity building and empowerment.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as development studies, vocational education, or business administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing different programs/projects specially Health & Nutrition, Climate Action, Education, Livelihood & skills development preferably with vulnerable communities.
  • Proven experience in curriculum development, training delivery, and monitoring & evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of the local context and challenges faced by vulnerable communities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in English and [local language(s)], proficiency in Urdu an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel and MS Word.
