Position:         Senior Government Liaison Officer (for local national only - Pakistani)

Reports to:    Country Director

Location:        Islamabad, Pakistan 

Position Summary:

This position will be required to provide major support as government liaison in effective collaboration with different government stake holder. Provide support and facilitate NOCs for organization`s projects (prepare and submit NOC applications along with the required supporting documents to concerned provincial/ local government departments and keep a close follow-up with relevant authorities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • To liaise with Govt. and non-government organizations i-e Ministry of Economic Affairs Division, Ministry of Interior, SAFRON, CCAR, Immigration Office, Federal Board of Revenue, CDA, IESCO etc.
  • Responsible to meet civil government authorities for smooth operation in Pakistan.
  • Assist foreigners during the visit and get relevant approvals from federal government/other relevant stakeholders.
  • Preparing visa cases, searching specific information, Liaison with the high management regarding all the civil external affairs.
  • Assist in processing of abroad Visas for national and international staff including arrangement of visas and travel permits (NOCs) etc.
  • Link regularly with relevant focal points in federal Government and provincial home departments and with the district authorities to maintain constructive working relations.
  • Having Good Public Relations Within the local/federal civil government authorities.
  • Responsible to take care of all CDA, IESCO, SNGLP and any other government department notices
  • Maintenance of proper records with proper retrieval system.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Graduation/master’s degree from recognized university/institution candidates should have with 05 years proven experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal and provincial rules and regulations related to INGOs
  • Experience in managing Office/ Project startup/ closeouts. 
  • Excellent IT skills; strong computer competency with word processing.
  • Ability to identify and communicate potential problems and propose solutions to the level of management and then effect change.
  • Must be able to function effectively in a complex work environment, set appropriate priorities, and deal effectively with numerous simultaneous requirements.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
